This weeks question:  Are there any book to movie adaptations where you think the movie is better than the book?

Yes, The Help!  For me, I didn’t get what the hype was behind the book; I just thought it was okay.  In fact, I only gave it 2 out of 5 stars.  I decided to see the movie anyways, and I thought it was awesome.  The friend who saw the movie with me liked the book, but also thought that the movie was better.  Anyone else have the same thoughts on The Help?

  1. I keep meaning to read or watch The Help, it just hasn’t happened yet. Still, interesting view point, I’ll have to keep it in mind when I finally get around to check it out.

  2. I haven’t read nor watched The Help, so I won’t be of much help with this one… I have an example of a movie I enjoyed as much as the book today, though, even if I have mostly been disappointed the times I have watched a movie based on a book.
    Have a fantastic weekend!

  3. Haha, I thought I was the only one who thought the help wasn’t as great as all the hype! Maybe if the actual book was written during the time it was set, it would have been more revolutionary! Anyway, haven’t seen the movie yet, thanks for reminding me! Do you have a bloglovin’ button? If so I’d like to follow, but I can’t find it!

  4. I haven’t read or watched The Help. I couldn’t think of an answer this week, but a blogger friend of mine reminded me my husband didn’t like the book World War Z but loved the movie. New bloglovin’ follower! 😀
