Book Review: In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

I’ll be honest, if I knew what happened in this book I wouldn’t have read it. I went through something similar just a few months before, and it hit way too close to home. When I realized what was happening, I was already invested in the plot and didn’t want to stop, because it was really good!

This is NOT a romance despite it being a nominee for Goodreads Favorite Romance in 2020. I don’t understand that at all.

But it IS a really good book. And it IS heartbreaking.

Dannie has her 5-year plan all laid out, and everything is going accordingly…until it isn’t.

And it just goes to show you how life is, there’s a lot that’s not in our control at all.

It’s just what you make it and how you react to the circumstances.

This book is well done, and a five-star read. It’s just a bit dark and it will break your heart.

Book Review: A Reckless Heart by Jennifer Wilck

Simon is a man who suffered a traumatic accident resulting in him isolating himself in his home for years.

Meg is running from her past, right into the extra house on Simon’s property that he rents out.

This contemporary romance has Beauty and the Beast vibes. Meg and Simon of course run into each other and start getting close…

I really enjoyed this book and looked forward to reading it every night before bed.

Great read!
